Terms of use
Last updated: 21 April 2026. By using Mark My Tests (“the Service”), you agree to these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a school, you confirm you are authorised to accept on its behalf.
The Service
We provide software to upload scripts, run automated marking assistance, and export results. We may update features; material changes will be communicated in product release notes where practical.
Your responsibilities
- You own or have permission to upload all papers, mark schemes, and pupil work you submit.
- You comply with UK safeguarding, copyright, and assessment rules applicable to your institution.
- You do not attempt to disrupt the Service, probe beyond authorised access, or misuse rate limits.
- You verify AI-suggested marks before relying on them for grading decisions.
Fees
Pay-as-you-go and credit purchases are billed through Stripe. Taxes follow your customer location and Stripe settings. Refunds for failed jobs follow the credit refund logic described in product documentation.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties. We are not liable for indirect loss, loss of profits, or consequential damages except where liability cannot be excluded by law. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections where applicable.
