Pricing

One-line summary: pay £1.50 per standard script as a guest, buy prepaid packs for better value, or run team pools for departments. No monthly fee. Current checkout prices always win if they differ from this overview. Related: For schools, FAQ.

Pay as you go (guest)

Charged per session through Stripe. Typical default is £1.50 for a standard script (1 credit). Extended and XL scripts consume more credits — see the tier table below (aligned to product configuration).

Standard3041£1.50
Extended6082£2.60
XL3£3.60

Figures above match the default product configuration (pence per tier: 150 / 260 / 360). XL tier uses unrestricted marks / pages within pipeline limits — see docs in-app when you configure a session.

Credit packs (examples)

Packs are sold at checkout with explicit savings vs guest-equivalent spend. Example catalogue (dev seed — verify live prices in the app):

  • Starter — 25 credits (solo)
  • Teacher — 100 and 250 credits (solo)
  • Department — 500 and 1500 credits (team)

Schools and teams

Shared org balance, per-member allocation, optional overflow back to the pool, statements, and admin controls — read the For schools page.

Pay as you go

What does £1.50 per script mean?

The default guest rate is £1.50 per scanned script for a standard-length paper (up to the configured mark and page limits for the “standard” tier). Longer scripts use additional credits according to the tier table on this page.

Do I need a subscription?

No. You pay for the scripts you mark in a session via Stripe, or you use prepaid credits from a pack or team pool.

Credit packs

Why buy a pack?

Credit packs reduce the effective cost per mark compared with paying guest-equivalent rates each time. Packs are available for solo teachers and for departments (team scope). Exact prices are shown at purchase in the app.

Example pack sizes (indicative)

We offer packs such as Starter (25 credits), Teacher (100 and 250 credits), and Department (500 and 1500 credits). Labels and Stripe checkout show the current price and savings vs pay-as-you-go.

Schools

How do team credits work?

Organisations can hold a shared pool. Owners and admins allocate credits to members, configure default allocations, optional overflow from members back into the pool, and receive low-balance notifications. See For schools.
